Our Story

Stop.
Take a deep breath.
Breathe in. And be grateful that you are breathing.
And don’t forget to exhale. Exhaling is what saved me. Birthed out of a need to escape the noise. I drowned out all of the voices of everyone around me. Everything had changed. My marriage was over. My 10 year career had changed.. I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. My baby was diagnosed with autism. In just a moment everything I ever knew had changed and I was not ready to face my new normal. It took time. It’s been a process. A process of healing, of waiting, of isolation. Isolation is not all bad. Especially when you remember that with God you are never alone. Sabbatical is about taking the time to remember you may not know all the answers but you know the one who does. You just have to remember to be still, be present, and listen. He will tell you exactly what to do next.
